A 20" x 30" drawing titled "Are You Listening, Buddy?", drawn on archival 2 ply heavyweight Strathmore 500 (100% cotton) bristol paper with pen, colored pencil and conte crayon, finished with a protective coating of matte spray varnish. Beautiful and vibrant color in a striking and imaginative image! Hand signed and dated on the front and back.

The artwork features a stylized, surreal portrait of a face with a number of distinctive characteristics. The face consists of two large, square-ish green eyes with yellow centers, each eye connected to a small black ear-like structure by a brown line. The eyes are set above a massive, open mouth that is disproportionately large compared to the rest of the face. The mouth is filled with two rows of white teeth, and the upper and lower lips are depicted in green, with a texture that is detailed and somewhat grotesque.
Below the mouth, there is a suggestion of a neck leading to a red torso with a shirt on it, which includes a collar and three visible buttons. The background of the piece is a wash of warm tones, predominantly yellows and oranges with a boundary that is lined in blue, adding to the artwork’s colorful and expressive nature.
